Crafting compelling narratives for the Garnier Men collection, translating the brand's vision into captivating visuals that resonated with our audience and ensuring that we deliver campaign well with in deadlines responsibilities extended to art direction. We ensured that every aspect of the production process, from concept development to execution, upheld the brand's identity and objectives. Additionally, supervising post-production for films and retouching for print was part of the role, ensuring that the final output met the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Each product variant in the Garnier Men lineup boasted its distinct personality. Whether highlighting the potency of Garnier Men Acno Fight Face Wash or the revitalizing attributes of the Oil Clear range, our goal remained consistent: to create films or key visuals that captured attention and effectively communicated the essence of the product. Fondly referred to as the "reason to believe" (RTB) section, whether it's the water blast or the burst of clay, these ingredient elements served as the cornerstone of our messaging. And sometimes, these cornerstones came in the form of green stones, as you can see in the Garnier Men Deodorant Mineral print ad below.
Working on Garnier films always brought both challenges and excitement to the art department. Whether on or off location, the dynamic nature of these large-scale productions, often involving A-list celebrities, with less than a day to finish the shoot, demanded a well-coordinated team effort. From scouting directors to coordinating set designs and props, attention to detail and clear communication were essential at every step.
One of the significant challenges I encountered was adapting key designs to various sizes for outdoor advertisements. It demanded meticulous attention to detail and creative problem-solving to ensure that the essence of the design was maintained across different formats while effectively capturing the audience's attention. Despite these challenges, we embraced each opportunity to innovate and elevate Garnier Men's visual identity, contributing to its success in the competitive Indian market.
Garnier Men undertook a significant journey to carve its place in the market it now leads. Through strategic planning and flawless execution, the brand systematically reshaped and refined the grooming industry for men.
Meeting the Garnier Man himself!
John Abraham and Garnier Men are a match made in heaven, and we had to make sure it looked that way naturally. The challenge was to present an action hero as the guy next door, who just happens to be a cool celeb. Whether riding a bike, rock climbing, or practising karate movesin a park, John was simply himself. His genuine approach to the script set a positive tone for the entire team and significantly contributed to our campaigns' success, with every scene refining his stance and mastering his kicks!
He is the most humble celebrity I know and great to work with, always eager to try new things on set. Garnier Men marked my first experience on a production set, and working with John was both inspiring and humbling.
